A Major Consumer Goods Corporation appointed Artemis Interiors to fit out their new consumer experience centre. The space was branded as the ‘first moment of truth’ the idea being to open people’s eyes in terms of domestic sustainability and the benefits of doing so.
A Biophilic design was implemented through the moss walls, barrier and bosco planting to provide a ‘live’ feel, as well as a water feature that recycles minimum water which is retained within the unit. The innovate space takes consumers on a journey of futuristic design of the home, and to showcase products in an equivalent fashion. The idea is, the specification of fixed material and all domestic appliances are the best method of durability and sustainability, money and in turn energy.
The appliances have smart functions which save on energy in different ways, including computerised technology, smart mirror, household appliances which are controlled by your mobile device, a futuristic shower and all WC’s and taps are sensor controlled.
98% of the timber used on this project was American bamboo which is considered the most sustainable timber, as the bamboo is a weed firstly, mass produced, and in effect does not contribute to deforestation as a variety of other finished timbers.
