The projects bespoke and quirky features were inspired by Birmingham’s infamous history as being the home of the automotive industry.
The space is made up of 4 zones, an open plan office area with integral telephone rooms, Boardroom and Meeting rooms, the Hub area for large conferences and the piece da resistance being the Club area. The Club space is a modern welcoming area, with ambient lighting creating a warm atmosphere. A 6-meter handcrafted Oak bar forms the centre piece, along with two cylindrical banquette ‘Waltzer’ style seating areas, with another straight banquette bench, copying that of a vintage Bentley rear seat, upholstered in classic 1950’s duck egg leather with folding arm rests.
The reception desk is born out of an Engineers work bench and made of raw steel and heavy timbers with an inlaid logo. The feature wall behind the Reception consists of classic car panels in British RAL colours.
Boardroom and Meeting Rooms were created using a Crittall effect acoustic Planet Partitioning system, all with a video conferencing facility and manifestation. A concrete resin floor was laid in the office corridor, with Stromboli flooring in the Club space. A ‘warming kitchen’ facility was installed for events, new decorations throughout, access control and security to all doors and a Comms room completed this inspired workspace.
