Artemis Interiors were appointed under a JCT Traditional Contract to undertake the CAT A fit out of a landmark 5 storey building in central Birmingham.
The 1st and part 2nd floors remained in occupation throughout the project, with a radio station broadcasting live and in full operation for 13 hours per day.
The CAT A was over the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors, along with creating a new reception complete with feature clock, works to the basement with new WC’s, showers and cycle hub, common areas, including lift lobbies, toilets, courtyard, roof terrace and plant areas.
Works also comprised of the demolition and strip out of said floors, including the live reception. New exposed services to floor areas, with exposed beams and soffits with intumescent coatings, and a new HVAC system throughout. Installation of a new raised access flooring system, lighting, decorations and ceilings.
The formation of new welfare facilities on each floor, with bespoke joinery, floor and wall finishes.
